Kate Castro, a Singer/Songwriter from Spokane, Washington. I started singing at the age of 5 and at age 15 began performing at ceremonial functions and city sporting events. I was a member of choirs and women's quartets in high school and college and was known as the wedding singer for years in Spokane and Seattle. I then moved to La La Land from Seattle in 2008 to pursue my love of music after taking a detour in the business world. My ability to trust life’s routes came from my deep level of spirituality. If I envisioned conquering a task, goal, or dream, I knew it could manifest.
My first single, “You Make my Heart Sing” was released in 2013. The next song “In Love” was the first of mine to be played on Urban radio in five states in 2017-2018. That year was followed by a new song and music video recorded in Atlanta for “Gotta Have It”. The success of this single was garnered on many platforms; Spotify, iTunes, and social media sites. This video was broadcast on BET JAMS of the BET network for 8 weeks.“Kool” My first album, created out of love and devotion released in 2019. Uncertainty in the world brought on by the pandemic in 2020 drove me to write and record new music with a deeper meaning. In 2021 my song, “Rainbow in Your Cloud” was inspired by social injustice. Sexy and enticing, "In The Kitchen" and "Sweet Tooth" were released in August of 2022. "Telepathy" has been my most listened-to song that hit the music stores in 2023. I was featured in Wonderland Magazine, and a plethora of other music sites and blogs revealing my stylistic melodies and garnering the attention of musicians I have admired for years.
