Karen’s love for nature began as a child growing up outside Chicago when there were still open fields and muddy marshes to explore. As a teen, her family bought a cabin in the wilds of Wyoming which opened her world up to endless mountains and a vast array of wildlife. As an adult, her love for nature drew her to the PNW where its lush landscape nurtures her passion for the natural world. When not writing or speaking, Karen can be found wandering local forests or parks, hiking her favorite trails or birdwatching – all the while photographing nature’s wonders along the way.
Karen B. Shea’s children’s books include: "Clark the Mountain Beaver and His Big Adventure!" and "A Bug-Lightful Discovery". She is also a contributing author in two of the volumes from the Common Sentience Book Series: "NATURE: Divine Experiences with Trees, Plants, Stones and Landscapes" featuring Ana Maria Vasquez and "ANIMALS: Personal Tales of Encounters with Spirit Animals" featuring Dr. Steven Farmer.
