Growing up in the small farming town of Animas, New Mexico, he started his first business at fifteen: a mobile DJ company built from a used Sanyo stereo and a whole lot of determination. What began as a weekend hobby turned into a thriving business that funded his college education and sparked a lifelong passion for entrepreneurship.
After earning a degree in accounting (a subject he admits he didn’t love), Bart faced rejection from his dream of becoming an FBI agent due to a vision issue. Instead of giving up, he built his own path—turning obstacles into opportunities and setbacks into success stories.
Today, Bart is known for his “monetized mindset,” helping others transform life’s lemons into profitable lemonade. His mission is simple: prove that you don’t need permission or a perfect plan to build the life you want.

Bart Merrell is an International Entrepreneur, Author and Monetize Your Mindset Presenter. Helped take the first commercial Bungee Jump to Japan. He is not sure if he is proud of it or not but he jumped off the bungee tower just hanging on to the bungee cord with his hands. He has been a serial entrepreneur since before he could drive. Legally anyway, cause he did crash his parents car when he was eight.
He will get us thinking about creating financial security by monetizing what we already know so we have the resources do deal with whatever happens, when it happens, because it will happen.
And even monetizing what happens when life happens! He had to have his lower left leg amputated and six months post-op he turned that into a stream of income.
Becoming self-sufficient and financially secure, regardless of the economy, is a global problem with a personal mindset solution.
Bart Merrell is the Author of the book Monetize Your Mindset. He believes everyone needs a side hustle or two or three. They can create financial security by monetizing what they already know or do if just they pay attention to opportunities that exist all around them – and act upon them.
