Kathy Dye is an inspirational Christian speaker and author who equips mothers and women with biblical truth and practical encouragement. A retired elementary teacher with 29 years in education, Kathy has taught Bible studies for women and children for more than 40 years and speaks at churches, conferences, and retreats across the country.
She is the author of the award-winning children’s book A Song in Her Heart and the beloved Kit Kat Camp series, heartfelt stories inspired by her grandchildren that teach compassion, kindness, and character through the lens of a grandmother’s love. Kathy is also the creator of the SONG Journal Series for women. Her passion is helping overwhelmed women reconnect with God and discover that He truly is the song of their hearts so they can build a lasting legacy of faith in their families and communities.
Kathy’s ministry, The Song of Our Heart, grew out of her deep love for Psalm 71 and her belief that each generation is called to declare God’s power to the next. Through this teaching, she invites women to explore how God is their song in every season of life as refuge, hope, and praise.
Known for her warmth and creativity, Kathy also brings joy and humor through her alter ego, Gertie, a cheerful Southern woman who shares positivity and encouragement on Instagram and YouTube at @GabbingWithGertie.
Kathy lives in Evansville, Indiana with her husband of more than 50 years. She is a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loves coffee, meaningful conversations, and walking in nature.
