Dr. Michael Godin is a facial plastic surgeon practicing in Richmond, Virginia and Southern California. Alongside his medical career, he is also an author known for blending humor, storytelling, and real life experience into his work.

He wrote the acclaimed debut novel *The Big Prick: Surgery, Surfing, and Survival in 1980s San Diego*, followed by *Fighting Gravity*, a romantic comedy set in the world of plastic surgery. His stories draw from his experiences training during the HIV pandemic of the 1980s, as well as his life outside the operating room.

Dr. Godin enjoys living on both coasts with his wife, their adult sons, and two dogs, one very well behaved and the other a bit more spirited, both equally loved.
