Nevada author Jackie Haley is celebrating an important accomplishment, with the release of her second book, “Truce Island.”

“Truce Island” is the sequel to Haley’s first novel, “Crystal Beach,” which was published in November 2012. That novel, many recall, was endorsed by the Des Moines Register’s Michael Morain, who wrote: “With an eye for detail and a nose for romance, Haley imagines what might happen if the girl next door stumbled into a James Bond movie. Smuggled diamonds, mafia thugs, a tall dark stranger, Crystal Beach has the makings of a Hollywood hit.”
