Kathy Dye

Kathy Dye is an inspirational Christian speaker and author who equips mothers and women with biblical resources and transformative teaching. A retired elementary teacher with 29 years of experience, Kathy has taught Bible studies for women and children for over 40 years and speaks at churches, conferences, and retreats nationwide.
Kathy is the author of the award-winning children's book A Song in Her Heart and the Kit Kat Camp series—heartwarming stories inspired by her grandchildren that teach life lessons about compassion, kindness, and character through a grandmother's love. She also created the SONG journal series for women. Her passion is helping overwhelmed women reconnect with God and discover that He is the song of their hearts—so they can build a legacy of faith in their families and communities.
Known for her warmth and creativity, Kathy also delights audiences with her alter ego "Gertie"—a joyful Southern woman sharing positivity with the world through Instagram and YouTube (@GabbingWithGertie). Gertie brings humor and encouragement to everyday life.
The Song of Our Heart grew from Kathy's deep love for Psalm 71 and her belief that we all need to declare God's power to the next generation. Through this study, she invites women to explore how God serves as our song through every season of life—our refuge, our hope, and our praise.
Kathy lives in Evansville, Indiana with her husband of over 50 years. She is a wife, mother, and grandmother who loves coffee, good conversations, and walking in nature.
