Debbie Thurston, World Class Gospel Artist from Florida, was born in the beautiful capital city of Nassau, Bahamas to Clester and Pecola Thurston, a businessman and homemaker. Debbie is the 5th of 6 children.

Born into a very musical family, her extraordinary talent as a singer was discovered at the tender age of (3); hence by the time she was (7) she was already being invited to participate in many local musical competitions for young artist. Debbie gained an early interest in studying formal piano, but soon realized that she preferred singing as a first career interest over the piano. This dual interest led her to discover that she could write lyrics and compose music accompaniment. Toward that end, her older brother Tyrone, a talented architect and musician, saw her gifts, and thus began nurturing and enhancing them, by teaching her different types of music styles, vocal techniques and stage performance. Accordingly by the time she was (13) she had recorded music that she had written, which was placed on rotation on the local radio stations in the Islands.

Following her high school graduation, Debbie pursued other career interest, while concurrently continuing to pursue her music composition skills. In pursuit of a career in Broadcasting she came to the US to college and obtained her Degree in Radio and Television Broadcasting. Upon completion, she was met with a professional vocal opportunity, through the organist at the church she attended. After hearing Debbie sing he introduced her to Professor Edward Pierson, retired Bass/Baritone singer from the New York Metropolitan Opera Co. Under his tutelage, she was introduced to many genres of music, which they performed together at local events in the south Florida area. Debbie Also studied vocal performance under Professor , Dr. Dorothy Yanes, at Palm Beach Atlantic University also in Florida. Being blessed with such a gift, many professional opportunities opened up for Debbie Both locally, domestically and internationally to conferences, speaking engagements, concerts etc.; only slowing after she became caregiver to her ailing mother who passed in 2021.

Classed as an inspirational Gospel singer with an "Angelic voice", Debbie's vocal range extends from a Lyrical Sopranist to a lower Mezzo, a unique characteristic rarely possessed by a vocal artist.

With her continued desire to follow the spiritual call on her life, Debbie in spite of challenges, continue to share her gifts with the world , both musically and now as a host of her own talk show, through her social media platforms called "The But Moments of God" which premiered on Preach the Word Worldwide Network in Norcross GA. 2 years ago, which has taken messages of faith and redemption around the world.

After hearing a call from the Holy Spirit to launch out into the deep, Debbie did that without hesitation this year. Finding her niche, she branched out to her own Youtube Channel by the same name as the show, all one need do is visit and watch one of her inspiring interviews, I can assure you, It will touch your heart; to see grown men crying as they are being interviewed, or just listen to her musical message at the close of each show, one can truly say, Debbie's life has truly been touched by God. This young woman's testimony and her own journey to where she is now, is amazing and impactful. I tell you, If you didn't believe before, Debbie's journey, of Faith, humility and obedience will truly inspire you; It may even cause you to bring into question your own belief.
