Robert A. Walker on Fantasy Writing and Creating Unforgettable Stories | 1,686
Robert A. Walker believes the best fantasy stories do more than transport readers to another world. They give us characters, conflicts, and moments that feel deeply human.
Raised in Northwestern Massachusetts, Robert eventually headed west and built a decades-long career in local government before turning his attention to writing fantasy filled with drama, heart, and humor.
He is the author of The Legends of Baelon trilogy. His debut novel, Six Moons, Seven Gods, received multiple honors, including awards from The Chrysalis BREW Project, Chick Lit Cafe, Literary Titan, and Readers' Favorite. Its sequel, Two Crowns, Three Blades, has also earned recognition from Reader Views, Page Turner Awards, Literary Titan, and Readers' Favorite.
The third installment in The Legends of Baelon continues the fantasy series Robert has built around immersive storytelling, adventure, and memorable characters.
When he is not writing, Robert can often be found on the tennis court or tackling his never-ending list of DIY projects along the California coast.
His message is simple: even in imagined worlds, the stories that stay with us are often the ones that reveal something real about courage, conflict, connection, and being human.
