Lauren Wu, Esq., CIPP/US, is a keynote speaker and former healthcare privacy executive with more than a decade of experience in senior leadership roles at companies such as Evidation Health, Roche, and Exact Sciences. Her work focused on privacy, regulation, and ethical decision making, often shaping how systems operate behind the scenes.
After a significant health event led her to step away from her executive career, Lauren gained a new perspective on how high performing systems often rely on individuals pushing beyond their limits. This experience reshaped her understanding of leadership, power, and sustainability.
Today, Lauren speaks on rethinking power, not as constant output or control, but as the ability to design systems where people can thrive without sacrificing their well being. Through her work, she challenges leaders to see empathy and authenticity as strengths, not liabilities.
She is also a writer and speaker on leadership, ethics, and technology, a board member of the Surveillance Technology Oversight Project, and a former adjunct instructor at Northwestern University School of Law. Her upcoming children’s books on privacy and digital literacy are set for release in 2026.
