Terry Bean has always believed in magic, long before she ever wrote a book about it. Her optimistic outlook began in fourth grade when she played Mother Nature in a school play, walking on stage to a dark, messy world and walking off transformed, wearing a beautiful gown and rose-colored glasses. Those glasses never really came off.
She has spent her life seeing the world through compassion, curiosity, and a belief that anything can become beautiful with the right perspective. That outlook guided her through every chapter of her journey.
After studying Communications and Marketing at the University of Hartford, Terry began her career in Manhattan before helping launch a property management company in Connecticut. She later earned her Broker’s License in Florida, purchased a real estate company, and built it through years of growth and challenge.
Following the 2007 market crash, Terry reinvented herself more than once, but one story she wrote in 2014 stayed with her. That story became ABRACADABRA, a heartwarming tale that reminds readers of the magic within.
Now based in New York, Terry is a certified Life and Executive Coach trained through Mindvalley and will soon be coaching with Fortitude Associates, a global consortium of trusted coaches. Known as the person friends and colleagues turn to for guidance and grounded perspective, she helps others rediscover confidence, creativity, and joy.

I’ve always believed in magic—maybe because I saw the world through rose-colored glasses long before I ever wrote a book about it.
In 4th grade, I played Mother Nature in a school play. I walked on stage to a world that was dark and messy… and walked off transformed, wearing a beautiful gown and rose-colored glasses.
Those glasses never really came off. I’ve always looked at life with optimism, compassion, curiosity, and the belief that anything can become beautiful with the right perspective.
That belief has carried me through every chapter of my life.
I studied Communications and Marketing at the University of Hartford, then began my career in Manhattan. After two years in the city, I moved back to Connecticut, where I helped launch and build a property management company over the course of a decade. Eventually, the cold pushed me south to Florida, where I earned my Broker’s License, purchased a real estate company, and rode the wave until 2007.
Like many people after the crash, I explored different online businesses and reinvented myself more than once. But one thing stayed constant: the story I wrote in 2014—a magical little tale I knew I would someday bring to life.
That story became ABRACADABRA.
