Betty Parker Blackmon JD, MSW is a retired associate professor at the UMKC, Kansas City for fourteen years and spent another seven years as an adjunct professor at the University of Kansas. She has fifteen years of experience developing and teaching online courses. Combining advocacy for persons challenged and concerned about the efficacy of online education and support resulted in this work. She has advocated for the provision of additional services to students that will keep them in higher education, especially first-generation student struggles.
