Dallas Martz has spent much of his career building teams, businesses, and relationships. His professional journey has taken him from radio and sales leadership to sports management, including four seasons as General Manager of the Alton River Dragons collegiate summer baseball team. In 2020, Dallas moved to Alton, Illinois, knowing almost no one and helped build a new baseball organization from the ground up. What followed were four unforgettable summers filled with players, coaches, host families, community members, challenges, friendships, and a championship season.

Those experiences ultimately inspired his first book, It Was Never Just Baseball: A Story of People, Purpose, and a Lasting Legacy. Through stories from on and off the field, Dallas shares a simple lesson that has shaped his life and leadership: the things we accomplish matter, but the people we meet along the way are often what we remember most.
