Nutritionist/Author

Ellyn Hilliard-McLeod, PhD, is an integrative health coach, educator, and holistic nutritionist with decades of experience helping individuals uncover the emotional and spiritual roots of illness. Drawing on her studies in holistic nutrition, communications, and Waldorf education, Dr. Ellyn Hilliard-McLeod brings a rare blend of scientific understanding, compassionate insight, and spiritual wisdom to her work. Her doctorate in Holistic Nutrition is from Clayton College of Natural Health where she wrote her dissertation on the effectiveness of the Gerson Diet Therapy.
She has counseled many clients facing chronic conditions through her centers—The Healing Center in Fair Oaks, California, and The Twelve Ways Healing Center in Boulder, Colorado—and is trained in holistic healing principles through the Gerson Institute, Attitudinal Healing, and the William Kelley Enzyme Program. Beyond her clinical work, she has been a passionate advocate for health freedom, speaking publicly on wellness and legislative reform, and inspiring audiences to take responsibility for their own healing. She helped to pass two bills in both California and Colorado which both guarantee patients the right to use their own health path when faced with life-threatening illness.
A longtime Waldorf educator and community leader, Dr. Hilliard-McLeod believes that true health begins with conscious living and connection—to self, to spirit, and to one another. It Takes More Than Carrot Juice reflects her life’s mission: to awaken the innate healing power within every human being.
