Erica Elliott is a physician in Santa Fe, New Mexico, nicknamed “The Medical Detective,” because she treats people from across the US who have difficult-to-diagnose medical conditions. Erica’s adult life began as a schoolteacher on the Navajo Reservation in the early 1970s, and then Peace Corps volunteer in South America working as a bilingual educator, a high-altitude mountain climber in the Andes, an Outward Bound instructor in the Colorado Rockies, and finally a medical doctor for the past 40 years.
