Her professional journey has included more than a decade of clinical experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including work within San Mateo County mental health programs, where she gained experience in crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, substance use, and complex emotional and behavioral challenges.

Throughout her career, Tehrani has developed an integrative and deeply individualized approach to therapy. Her work draws from psychodynamic therapy, CBT, DBT, Internal Family Systems, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and other evidence-based approaches, allowing her to tailor treatment to each person’s circumstances and goals. She has worked with adults, young adults, adolescents, and families experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, life transitions, ADHD, autism, trauma, and unhealthy relational patterns. At the heart of her practice is the belief that meaningful change begins with developing a stronger sense of self, understanding the patterns that influence relationships, and learning to respond to life’s challenges with greater awareness, confidence, and compassion.

Beyond her clinical practice, Tehrani has emerged as a thoughtful voice on emotional well-being, relationships, boundaries, resilience, and personal growth. Her approach combines professional expertise with a warm, direct, and collaborative style, encouraging people not simply to overcome difficult experiences but to use greater self-awareness as a foundation for a more fulfilling life. She has also shared her perspective through conversations and media appearances focused on navigating difficult times, managing expectations, strengthening emotional resilience, and finding greater peace. Whether working one-on-one with a client or speaking about mental health more broadly, Tehrani’s work reflects a consistent commitment to helping people better understand themselves, create healthier relationships, and move forward with greater clarity.
