Author, Speaker, and Coach
Marc Hopkins is an endurance athlete, coach, and speaker who helps individuals and organizations push beyond perceived limits—both on the course and in life. He has completed the Bigfoot 200, eight Ironman-distance triathlons, and more than 200 events spanning triathlons, marathons, and ultramarathons.
Marc holds a BA in Philosophy from San José State University and an Executive MBA from Washington State University, blending deep curiosity about human motivation with decades of successful sales and leadership experience. As a coach, he has guided hundreds of people across finish lines of all kinds—from first races to ultramarathons to personal life challenges—while helping them confront fear, self-doubt, and the stories that hold them back.
As a speaker, Marc draws on his Six Steps to Completing Your 1,000 Mile Journey and the extreme demands of endurance sports to explore resilience, identity, accountability, and the power of honest self-examination. His work invites audiences to look beyond performance alone and ask deeper questions: Why do we push? What do we carry with us? And who do we become when the distractions fall away?
Marc lives in the Portland, Oregon area, where he trains year-round in the Pacific Northwest. When he isn’t on the trails, he enjoys reading, woodworking, and pursuing creative projects.
