Author

Simone Bowyer is an author, mental health advocate, operations leader and Integral Coach in training. She is the author of Chasing Light: From Darkness to Dawn, a deeply personal memoir exploring trauma, addiction, eating disorders, treatment-resistant depression, ECT and the complicated journey of choosing to stay.

Drawing from both lived experience and her background in psychology, Simone speaks openly about the difference between surviving and learning how to live. Her work explores the patterns we develop to protect ourselves, the ways those patterns can follow us long after the danger has passed, and what it means to slowly build a life beyond survival.

Through her writing, speaking and Light Within Collective, Simone hopes to create conversations that make people feel less alone in the parts of recovery that rarely come with neat endings.
