First and foremost, I am a happy husband and proud father. I am also an Emergency Medicine physician with a passion for health and wellness. In 2007, I was diagnosed with renal cancer. Although this was a frightening time, it began a journey of discovery into topics such as wellness, nutrition, meditation, and personal development. Much of my belief regarding the importance of healthy lifestyles stems from my experience with cancer and subsequent self-education. In 2012, a few years after Diana and her husband sold their 1st boat, Diana found herself wanting to get back out on the waters of Puget Sound. She signed up for a women’s sailing class at San Juan Sailing in Bellingham. Her instructor for that 1st class was Captain Anne where an immediate connection was made. Diana shared her Dream that someday she wanted to sail to New Zealand. When Diana bought SV Arctic Loon, a 45’ Jeanneau DS and announced in 2014 that she was going to Alaska, Anne decided to join Diana for the 71 day adventure to Sitka and back to Seattle.
